Like many couples who had planned big beautiful weddings in 2020, Chris and Ali’s plans were derailed by a global pandemic. They decided they didn’t want to wait to be married so they threw together a small backyard ceremony and party in for their family, and planned a bigger party for 2021. When we asked if they would be interested in a styled wedding shoot, they jumped on board and we were so thrilled!

We chose Asbury Park, NJ because of all the iconic spots and gorgeous views. Ali got pampered by the babes at Lock & Shade Salon with hair done by Deanna Saviano and makeup done by Jess Kardos. Then we got her into her gorgeous Lulus gown and snagged her incredible bouquet from AP Greenery, and headed out for some photos! Lock & Shade has a super cute courtyard area and we started there to get our couple warmed up. Turns out, these two were absolute naturals and needed no warming up. They are so in love with each other the chemistry was insane and we barely had to direct them at all.

Next we headed to Sunset Park for lots of golden hour sun glow, grassy areas, and a cute walking bridge. We even brought one of our awesome custom banners for them and it made for a great prop!

We finished our session on the boardwalk and beach in front of historic Convention Hall. Chris expertly dipped and kissed Ali in a way that had strangers stopping and cheering. The sunset that day was really beautiful and we got some gorgeous light reflecting off the massive Convention Hall windows.

We had an incredible time with Chris & Ali and know they are going to have an amazing life together!
