Morgan & Anthony’s Boardwalk Engagement Session

Location: Point Pleasant Boardwalk, Point Pleasant, New Jersey

Highlights: If you are a Jersey Shore native, you know there are fewer places more romantic than the boardwalk at sunset. We were excited about the opportunity to capture Morgan and Anthony’s engagement photos on the Point Pleasant Boardwalk. After scoping out some good spots, our couple cozied up in an empty walkway behind the arcade, strolled by some of the rides, and even did their best at the water gun game. Our game plan to end the night on the beach was momentarily halted after learning the beach access was privately owned. The slight inconvenience didn’t prevent us from nicely asking the beach security if we could cross the barrier, promising to be off the beach at sunset. As much as we like to bend the rules, it’s always better to have permission. It was so nice to have the beach all to ourselves as the sun began to set, giving Morgan and Anthony free rein to run, jump, and snuggle up by the ocean. While initially planning the shoot, Morgan sent us an inspirational photo of a couple in the shore break, kissing as a wave crashed into them, asking if we would be able to do something like this. As photographers, we live for moments like this. The fact that there are two of us, capturing multiple angles makes it even better. We all took our places and waited for a perfect wave. Once we saw the opportunity we yelled GO, and snapped furiously as Morgan and Anthony fully committed to creating an epic moment. After a quick celebration, we made our way back to the boardwalk with a few more photos to end what we call, a perfect engagement shoot. We can’t wait to see these two in the fall for their amazing wedding day!
